Prem says it’s okay if he doesn’t get the girl he loves, he’ll just live with the pain. He admits that just like Anupama is stubborn, he is too. He says he couldn’t be with Mahi, just like Anupama couldn’t be with him. Rahi asks him to think of their mother and says if anything happens to Mahi, their mother will be devastated and asks Prem to agree. Prem then lets go of Rahi’s hand.
Baa scolds Anupama for letting a young man stay at their house. Toshu says if something bad had happened, who would be responsible?. Dolly adds that Kavya would have sent them all to jail. Anupama tells them to stop their taunts. She also says that they don’t really care about her. Baa claims that they do. Anupama points out that nobody came to comfort Mahi. She tells them to ask her how she is doing. Ansh says it’s Prem’s fault. Anupama says that Prem is not in the wrong because she saw Mahi acting crazy for him. She says it is not Mahi’s fault either, but she’s at that age. Pakhi thinks Prem is just playing with Rahi and Mahi. She asks Anupama to question Rahi. Rahi overhears and tells her not to accuse Anupama. Anupama says she will talk to Mahi once things calm down. She says until then, nobody will say anything to her.
Rahi comes to Anupama and Anupama feels helpless. She wants to make Mahi happy but doesn’t know how to get Prem’s love for her. Rahi suggests Prem might like Mahi but said things in anger. Anupama asks if Prem said something to Rahi. She wonders if he has feelings for Mahi. Anupama is sure that Prem wouldn’t play with a girl’s feelings. She can’t forget the image of Mahi trying to drown herself. Anupama is worried about what would happen to Mahi, as she is someone’s responsibility. She admits that Mahi asked her to talk to Prem but she didn’t and now regrets it. She thinks everything is her fault. Rahi hugs and comforts her. She gives her water and something to eat. Anupama rests on Rahi’s lap while she sings a lullaby.
Anupama gets up and says she’s going to check on Mahi. Rahi tells her to rest and says she will go check on Mahi. Anupama is thankful. Rahi sees Mahi sleeping and says everything will be okay and she’ll get Prem. She believes even God wants them together and puts a brooch on Mahi’s pillow. She puts her head next to Mahi and gets emotional.
Prem comes home and sees Anupama resting. She sees Prem sitting there and asks if he is leaving forever. She tells him to be happy. Prem cries and puts his head on her lap. She says she can’t make Mahi stop loving him or force him to love her. She says it’s not his fault. Prem says he has always treated Mahi like he treats his other friends. He denies provoking her feelings. Anupama says that while he’s the same with everyone, others are not and that’s why Mahi misunderstood his actions. She doesn’t want him to leave, but doesn’t know how to stop him. She asks him to be happy. Prem thinks of Rahi’s words. He asks Anupama if he can talk to Mahi, because he understands what love’s pain feels like. Anupama agrees and asks God to make the right thing happen. Rahi hugs Anupama and says Prem might like Mahi, since friendship is the first step to love. She says anyone would fall in love with Mahi and that Prem will love her. Anupama worries about something wrong happening with Prem and Mahi. Rahi tells her to be positive, thinking Prem won’t let their hopes down.
Prem sees Mahi upset with her teddy bear. He remembers what happened and tries to control himself. He knocks on her door and calls her. Anupama says that girls’ pain is a lot for people, but they forget guys feel pain and are helpless too. She says she is scared for Prem, because he didn’t do anything wrong but feels guilty. She says you can’t force feelings and it is hard to break someone’s heart. She doesn’t want Prem to do something he doesn’t want to do, because sympathy is not love.
Prem gives Mahi money, like a “sadqa” so nothing bad happens to her. He says he never knew what he did wrong and apologizes. He says he didn’t know when she developed feelings for him. Mahi says she doesn’t know when she got feelings for him. She can’t imagine life without him. Prem says he is sorry if he gave her any sign but he doesn’t have any feelings for her. Mahi asks what is wrong with her that he doesn’t love her. Prem tells her to stop.
Precap: Baa says this marriage is not okay for her. She says if something bad happens, Anupama will be blamed. Pakhi says Anupama will be in a bad situation. Prem wipes Rahi’s tears. Anupama asks Prem why he agreed to marry Mahi if he doesn’t love her. She asks if he did it for his happiness or because he felt helpless. She puts his hand on her head and asks him not to lie.
